It started in 1956, when Percy Gilbert put one car on the road. His son Ron took the wheel and renamed the firm — making Gilberts Chesham's first taxi company and putting it at the heart of the community. Chris and Tracey Gilbert took that foundation and built something lasting. Long hours, new technology, new ways of working — they expanded the fleet, grew the area we serve, and turned a small firm into the largest and longest-serving taxi service in the Chilterns. Today they run it alongside their son Haydn. When you call Gilberts, you don't get a call centre. You get a Gilbert.

We track your flight, so your driver arrives for when you actually land. You get 45 minutes of free waiting time after landing, plenty for bags and passport control. After that, waiting is charged at £20 per hour, unless you've booked your pickup for a specific time after landing, in which case waiting starts from then.
At Luton, Stansted and Gatwick, the express drop-off and pick-up fee is included in your price. At Heathrow, the drop-off fee is included in your fare; for Heathrow pick-ups, airport car parking fees apply.
